From decarbonising our operations and sourcing lower-impact materials, to driving sustainable innovation and packaging solutions, we are committed to measurable progress. Our near-term Net Zero target is 2030, with a full alignment to PPN 06/21 standards by 2050.
Local Manufacturing: Reducing Carbon Footprint
We are proud to manufacture our equipment, including shotblasters, grinders, and dust extractors, locally in the UK. By doing so, we reduce transportation emissions and support local businesses, contributing to a smaller carbon footprint compared to importing machinery from abroad. This also allows us to maintain high-quality standards while minimising environmental impact.
Energy-Efficient Equipment
Our range of equipment is designed with energy efficiency in mind. By using modern, low-energy machines, we help our clients reduce their energy consumption during surface preparation, which is a critical step in reducing overall carbon emissions in construction projects. Additionally, we continuously innovate to develop tools that require less power without compromising performance, ensuring that sustainability and efficiency go hand in hand.
Waste Reduction and Recycling
The Preparation Group employs sustainable methods to minimise waste during the surface preparation process. We prioritise equipment and techniques that reduce the need for chemical treatments and excessive material use. With regular reporting, clear targets, and an empowered team, we’re making meaningful change—not just offsetting, but insetting emissions across our value chain.

We’re also tackling energy and emissions head-on, reviewing usage across our facilities and hire fleet while investing in cleaner technologies to reduce our carbon footprint -year after year.
