Built for Movement

From the outset, movement played a central role in the website design. Floor preparation is mechanical, physical, and driven by precision – And we wanted the digital experience to reflect that same sense of momentum and purpose.

PWF Studio introduced a series of bespoke animated elements throughout the site, most notably the use of rotating circular motifs. These spinning forms reference the mechanics and motion of floor preparation machines, subtly echoing grinders, shotblasters, and polishing equipment in action. Used across navigation, transitions, and key content moments, they create visual energy while guiding users through the site.

The result is a website that feels active and engaging without becoming distracting.

An Interactive Experience

Beyond visual movement, we wanted the site to respond naturally to how users move through it. Using custom cursor interactions, key elements expand and contract on hover, revealing more information only when users want it. This keeps pages uncluttered, making complex content easier to explore without overwhelming the user.

Movement continues as users scroll. The circular elements rotate subtly down the page, adding a sense of momentum and reflecting the mechanics of the machines themselves. These scroll-based animations bring the site to life, creating a dynamic experience that feels purposeful, engaging, and true to the industry.

Adding Depth and Detail

To give the website more flexibility and visual depth, we worked together to develop a complementary secondary colour palette to sit alongside the core brand green. This allowed us to create clearer hierarchy across pages, introduce contrast where needed, and avoid over-reliance on a single colour – Giving the site more freedom to breathe while still feeling unmistakably on brand.

Pigs Will Fly Studio also introduced rotating text spinners across key buttons and calls to action. These subtle animations reinforce the spinning circle motif used throughout the site, while helping CTAs stand out without relying on size or colour alone.

Bringing It All Together

The finished website brings every part of The Preparation Group’s offering into one cohesive digital experience. A structured product system allows users to quickly filter, browse, and compare equipment, with clear click-throughs into individual product pages that surface the right level of detail at the right time. Whether customers are looking to hire, buy, or explore training and contracting services, the site makes it easy to find a solution fast.

Fully responsive as standard, the website performs seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring a consistent experience wherever and however users access it. The result is a confident, future-ready platform that reflects The Preparation Group’s position as the UK-leading specialist in floor preparation.
